Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson recently shared details of an on-set injury with his Instagram followers.

In a post on Tuesday, June 11, The Rock recounted the incident while filming his upcoming movie, “The Smashing Machine,” which centers around the life of MMA legend Mark Kerr. Reflecting on the film’s title, Johnson humorously noted, “Anytime your film is called The Smashing Machine, well, you’re kind of going to get smashed up.”

The actor described the injury to his elbow, comparing the swelling to a cantaloupe. “I got banged up pretty bad,” he admitted.

The Rock explained that he needed to wait for the swelling to decrease before he could undergo an MRI. Sharing a piece of wisdom from his father, he said, “A day without pain is like a day without sunshine, boy.”

Seeking advice on effective anti-inflammatories, The Rock showed some options he had tried, humorously mentioning his preference for his own Teremana Tequila. Raising a glass to the camera, he said, “Cheers!” and, after taking a sip, quipped, “It feels better already.”

Fans quickly responded with a flurry of suggestions and remedies for his swollen elbow. One user commented, “Grew another bicep on your elbow.”

Another advised, “Looks like some acute bursitis. Ice, compression wrap, and possibly having it drained! Oh yea, definitely the healing hooch.”

A third suggested, “Arnica is excellent for inflammation. You can take it in dissolvable tablets or apply oil topically.”

The Rock’s post prompted an active discussion among his followers, highlighting their concern and willingness to offer support.
