Thanks to the Philadelphia 76ers, Allen Iverson‘s basketball legacy has been immortalized with a statue. However, sports fans have had mixed reactions to it.

On Friday (April 12), the NBA legend and Hall of Famer was front and center as the statue, which sits right in front of the team’s practice facility, was unveiled. However, after the statue’s reveal, fans began questioning its likeness to the basketball star.

The figure was much smaller than expected, and it immediately caused a firestorm on social media. “So small compared to the others, that’s not right for AI,” one fan posted on X. Another person joked that Iverson was “the latest victim of shrinkflation.”

One user pointed out that while the fictional character Rocky received a large statue, the real-life Iverson only received a small one. Whereas, one person claimed that stature was small in size because “Philly is cheap as HELL!!!!”
