Big Sean has a surprising message for his fans: if you don’t have an electric toothbrush, you might be missing out.

On Thursday (June 20), the “Bounce Back” rapper took to Instagram to share his do’s and don’ts for dental hygiene, humorously taking aim at those who haven’t upgraded to an electric toothbrush.

“See, I got my teeth cleaned at my dentist’s office,” he began. “These are my teeth, no veneers, no whitening. First of all, if you ain’t got no electric toothbrush, I can’t even trust you if you ain’t got no electric toothbrush.”

He added: “You’re really playing with your life, especially if you got a $500 phone. You don’t got no electric toothbrush? Like what? Be great. Get your priorities right. And get your teeth cleaned. Stay healthy.”

While he’s been quiet on the music front in recent years, the Detroit rhymer has had plenty to say — especially when it comes to mental health.

In April, Big Sean revealed he’s penned his debut book, “Go Higher,” an interactive guide to mental wellness and achieving success. It’s packed with his unique wisdom and plenty of his signature style.

Reflecting on his journey to becoming an author, which he described as “years in the making” in a heartfelt Instagram post, Big Sean shared:

“Besides the music, another project that’s been years in the making and it’s finally time. I can’t even believe it for real,” he said. “But anyone who know me since I signed my record deal knows if you look at my old YouTubes I’ve always been about speaking from the heart, following your intuition and checking in with yourself mentally. Because that’s how I was raised.”

He continued: “That’s the upbringing that was surrounding me with my family. It was a lot of elevated thinkers. They’d give me gems and these books that I eventually read. If it wasn’t for them methods that I applied to my life, I for sure wouldn’t be here today, period.”

“Go Higher” is scheduled for release on October 8th, 2024.
