Brandy returns to horror with The Front Room as chaos ensues over baby names and possessed in-laws.
In the trailer, the “Moesha” star [playing the role of Belinda] faces turmoil as her life takes a dark turn: from dealing with her father-in-law’s death to clashing with her husband over his possessed mother, Solange’s influence, and a surprising twist involving the United Daughters of the Confederacy. As tensions rise, Belinda fears her mother-in-law [played by Kathryn Hunter] may be more than she seems, culminating in a chilling struggle over the pronunciation of her name.
According to the official tagline, “Everything goes to hell for newly-pregnant Belinda after her mother-in-law moves in — “As the diabolical guest tries to get her claws on the child, Belinda must draw the line somewhere…”

The A24 film mark’s the singer-songwriter’s first scare-flick since I Know What You Did Last Summer (1997).
The Front Room, written and directed by filmmaking duo Max Eggers and Sam Eggers [The Lighthouse and The Witch], is set to release in theaters on September 6th.
Also upcoming, the 45-year-old will return to her role as Cinderella, alongside her co-star from Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella, Paolo Montalban, in Disney’s latest addition to the popular Descendants franchise, Descendants: The Rise of Red.
In the mid-July release, the Queen of Hearts plots revenge against Cinderella’s legacy, sparking a rebellion in Auradon. Red joins forces with Chloe, Cinderella’s meticulous daughter, to travel back in time and alter the pivotal moment that led to her mother’s descent into villainy.
