Don Toliver turned his album, Hardstone Psycho, into a short film of the same title, released last Tuesday (June 18). The Jack Dalton-directed short co-stars his girlfriend, pop star Kali Uchis, and their newborn son.

The visually stunning portrayal captures the captivating journey of a man shaping his destiny through crafting motorcycles amidst a rugged, untamed landscape. Throughout the short film, Toliver does whatever it takes to provide in this chaotic world to get back home to his family.

The narrator speaks for Toliver the entire short. They explained:

“Back in the early days, it was really just an idea — a vision of a life on the road and the tools he needed to get him here. He knew there were no shortcuts, no handouts. But for whatever reason, a certain type of man feels things have to be done alone. Forming his own destiny, he handcrafted some of the finest motorcycles I’ve ever seen. Psycho Valley is not a place for the weak. The earth is wild here. The shadows are dark. The days are long. He had to isolate himself.”

Hardstone Psycho is Toliver’s fourth and best album yet. It follows the birth of his son, born in March 2024. He promoted the multi-volume release with standout lead singles “Bandit,” “Deep In The Water,” and “Attitude.”

The new album features Lil Uzi Vert, Travis Scott, Yeat, Cash Cobain, Charlie Wilson, Tezzo Touchdown, and more. Its breakout hits include “Brother Stone,” featuring Kodak Black, “Purple Rain,” featuring Metro Boomin and Future, and “Attitude.”

Toliver’s latest album debuted at #3 on Billboard 200. He released the deluxe version of the new album last week, which has four new songs, including “Rockstar Girl” and “Love Is A Drug.”
