Draya Michele says she and her boyfriend, Jalen Green, are simply two people in love.
TMZ caught up with the new parents and asked if the backlash they face for their age gap relationship bothers them. Michele is 29-years-old and Green is 22.
“We try to stay off of the internet and not really listen to that kind of stuff.” Michele responds to the question. “We also don’t care.” Green added. “Yeah, we block it out and we mind our business.”
Michele goes on to say, “I don’t know what people’s problems is. We’re two adults being in love. I don’t why that would rub people the wrong way. It’s kind of weird. Love is love at the end of the day.”
When asked if the couple are planning to have any more children, Michele responds, “who knows..”
This isn’t the first time Draya addressed the concerns regarding her relationship. When a picture of the couple went viral on Instagram, Michele expressed, “there is no picture or video on this app that could set me off.”
The post continued, “I be wanting to know does your man, bestie, mom, employer know you just be serial typing negative sh*t on here? Self evaluation — what did that comment do for me?” she writes.
We previously reported that the model and former reality star and the NFL played welcomed her baby girl into the world. “In 2021 on Mother’s Day, my dad passed away. Since then, it’s been extremely hard to celebrate that day without remembering the earth shattering phone call I received that morning” she wrote via Instagram.
“Well, this Mother’s Day was different. My daughter was safely brought into this world and I’m forever grateful for the new memories we all get to experience moving forward. 🩶 Love + Light everyone.”
