“It’s been a tough week,” Justin Timberlake, 43, told the United Center in Chicago on Friday night (June 21), alluding to his DWI arrest on Tuesday (June 18) in the Hamptons.

The award-winning entertainer acknowledged the incident for the first time and thanked the fans for supporting him through the ups and downs. “I know I’m hard to love sometimes, but you keep loving me right back,” he continued.

According to a police report documents, Timberlake was arrested in Sag Harbor on Long Island for failing to stop at a stop sign and driving poorly. He was pulled over at around 12:15 a.m. on June 18 in his gray 2025 BMW and performed poorly on all standardized field sobriety tests.

Officers reported Timberlake displayed bloodshot and glossy eyes, emitted a strong odor of alcohol from his breath, and showed signs of impaired attention, slowed speech, and unsteadiness on his feet.

Timberlake told the officer he had a martini but refused a breathalyzer. Timberlake’s friends arrived on the scene, and the officer admitted that he didn’t know who Timberlake was. Justin would be arrested and detained at the local police station. He would be released on Wednesday morning (June 19)

While being taken into custody, Timberlake reportedly mumbled,” This is going to ruin the tour.”

The comment went viral across social media, and the officer inquired about the tour. The officer overheard and replied, “What tour?”

Justin said, ” The world tour.”

Justin Timberlake originally became famous in 1997 as the lead singer of N*Synce. He went solo and released his debut album, Justified, in 2002. He transformed into a pop icon in 2006 with his classic album, FutureSex/LoveSounds.

Timberlake’s world tour continues with upcoming stops in New York City, Boston, Baltimore, and Cleveland. The Forget Tomorrow world tour supports the latest album, Everything I Thought It Was, released in March. The album includes hit songs “Drown,” “Selfish,” and “Sanctified,” featuring Tobe Nwigwe.
