After 25 years, Sisqó and Mya reunite, combining their talents for a new track.

According to TMZ, the singer/songwriter and record producer, who has been diligently working on his new album, has fulfilled fans’ desires by delivering a sequel to his contributions on Mya’s debut single “It’s All About Me” (1997).

This upcoming album marks the first release from the Dru Hill artist since Last Dragon (2015), following Return of Dragon (2001) and Unleash the Dragon (1999).

According to the outlet, the upcoming release from “The Thong Song” entertainer is expected to be the summer’s soundtrack, with plans for an independent drop in spring or summer 2024.

Before the announcement of their upcoming music, the duo shared a backstage moment, with Sisqó captioning the snapshot: “Always great seeing our sister @myaplanet9! 🫶🏾”

On the other hand, Mya recently invaded Kingston, Jamaica for Shaggy‘s second annual Island Music Conference.

The five-day event, featuring panel discussions, presentations, workshops, performances, parties, and networking opportunities with industry executives from companies like Meta, YouTube, Warner Records, United Masters, and the Grammy Awards, attracted notable figures such as Kes, Teejay, Wyclef Jean, Sean Paul, Jesse Royal, Stonebwoy, Spice, and Masicka, who shared valuable advice with attendees.

“I think this is an opportunity for us to really just kind of sit, meet, and greet with each other, network with each other, and kind of figure out how we can monetize our own culture,” the “Boombastic” hitmaker said during his keynote address.

In a recent move, Mya, straying from her R&B/Pop origins, shifted gears with the release of a new dance track, “So Hype,” featuring Justin Sanchez. The song, made accessible on Friday (April 11), is now available for streaming and download on all major platforms, as announced on her Instagram.
