On Monday (Oct. 16), 42 Dugg was released from prison after six months behind bars.
The “Maybach” hitmaker’s CMG label boss Yo Gotti took to his Instagram page to post avideo of the moment Dugg walked out free.
Earlier this year, Dugg was sentenced to one year in prison after failing to turn himself in to serve a six-month prison sentence. In March of 2020, a Georgia federal grand charged the Detroit rapper with possessing a firearm. He pleaded guilty to the gun charges in November of that year and was sentenced to three years probation. Unfortunately, Dugg’s probation was revoked in February of 2022 after he was got arrested for obstruction of law enforcement and battery in Las Vegas.
As previously reported by HOT 97, Yo Gotti took to Instagram Story on his birthday and expressed that Dugg getting an early release would make the perfect gift. “I got $2 million for any lawyer that can get Dugg out early,” he wrote on his Instagram Story. “[That’s] what I want for my birthday #FreeDoggy.”
