Diddy Supports Black Wealth And Donates $2 Million For An HBCU + More

Diddy is making sure two powerful Black initiatives have the funding they need.

Over the weekend, Diddy attended Invest Fest in Atlanta. During an interview with financial speakers on the Earn Your Leisure podcast, Diddy spoke on his life as an entrepreneur and his goal to amplify Black wealth.

XXL points out the Bad Boy CEO presented the EYL hosts with $1 million for the Earn Your Leisure fund that will go to investing in Black businesses and interests including Diddy’s three charter schools in New York City and Connecticut. In a press release, Diddy said, “I’m thrilled to join forces with Earn Your Leisure.” He continued,

“We’re going beyond discussing finances and taking action to demystify the world of investing for our community.”

The publication points out, later on, that Diddy donated another $1 million while at the Center Parc Stadium for a football game—South Carolina State vs. Jackson State University. In 2022 during the BET Awards, Diddy vowed to invest more into Historically Black Colleges and Universities. He gave the money to the Jackson State University Development Foundation, benefiting the university, students, and faculty.

Diddy told a reporter, “If it wasn’t for HBCU, I wouldn’t be here. Supporting HBCUs is not just my honor, it’s my responsibility.” He continued, “My grandmother raised me to sow my seed in my community and that’s what I’m going to do.”

Amazing!
