André 3000 has new music on the way..with a twist.
The artist announce he’s dropping a new album titled ‘New Blue Sun’. The plot twist is that he will not be rapping on the album- instead, playing the flute.
It’s not often that 3 Stacks is in the news, or even seen publicly. However, when he is- he’s usually playing his flute. Over the years he’s been spotted in airports, on the street, in random places playing his instrument of choice. “I laugh at it because my homies in Atlanta, we’ll talk and they’ll be like, ‘Man, you know n***** think you crazy to f*** around with this flute,” he joked to NPR.
Though Andre isn’t rapping on this project- he refers to it as therapeutic. “There’s this misconception that I just won’t do it. I think people feel like I’m sitting around on rap albums, or sitting around and I’m just not putting them out in that way. And no it’s not like that”
He continued, “In my mind, I really would like to make a rap album,” he continues. “So maybe that happens one day, but I got to find a way to say what I want to say in an interesting way that’s appealing to me at this age.”
