Beyoncé said that her daughter Blue Ivy used the criticism she received online to perfect her “Renaissance World Tour” routine.
According to The New York Times‘ review of the “CUFF IT” hitmaker’s upcoming concert film, which debuts in theaters Friday (Dec. 2), Blue read negative comments about her dancing after her first surprise appearance onstage in Paris back in May. “It thrilled her mother that instead of quitting, she decided to put in the work and train even harder for future stops,” the publication reported.
The Times also revealed that in the movie, Beyoncé admitted that she originally never wanted the 11-year-old to perform at all. “She told me she was ready to perform, and I told her no,” she said in the film.
