Saucy Santana has jokingly made a play for Gilbert Arenas, after the former NBA player praised his twerking abilities.
Last week, Arenas sparked Saucy Santana’s interest after an episode of Arenas’ podcast – in which he poked fun at guest Nick Young’s friendship with the rapper – surfaced online.
“Ah, hell! That’s yo dog! Hahaha!” said Arenas. “Hell no! Come on, man. This?!… That ain’t no rapper, stop it!”
The former Memphis Grizzlies player then held up a video of Santana twerking, jokingly telling Young that he “knows” Young “paid for that.”
Upon catching wind of Arenas somewhat dismissal of his rap skills, the “Walk” rhymer seemingly took to TikTok where he issued some choice words for the duo.
However, this week brought a surprising twist with Arenas and Santana flipping the script. Returning to his No Chill podcast on Sunday (March 17), Arenas, referring to the aforementioned video of Santana twerking, issued him a compliment.
“It threw me off. I never seen somebody with nails and the beard. When I hit the video, twerk,” he admitted. “I’m not gon’ lie… If I had to rate between who’s better, him and Megan Thee Stallion, I don’t know who I’ma throw my dollars to, dawg. A good show is a good show.”
He continued, “Sauce, listen: You can’t talk and you can’t look at me… How [are] you supposed to get a lap dance from the dude? All I’m saying is, it was twerking just a little better than Megan Thee Stallion. I had to double back to make sure it’s the same person.”
Soon after, Santana, who is openly gay, took to X (formerly Twitter) to respond. “WAIT. Ayo, Gil! Let me holla at you!!! I’ve had a crush on you since I was a kid. You my baby daddy,” he wrote jokingly shooting his shot at Arenas.
