Coi Leray has announced her follow-up to the Mike WiLL Made-It-produced hit song “Wanna Come Thru,” upping the ante with a entire EP.
On Thursday (May 9), Coi took to social media where she unveiled the cover art for her upcoming project titled Lemon Cars.
Gracing the cover, the “Players” rapper/singer flaunts a pair of ruffled bottoms, flawlessly matched with a coordinating bra top and fur-trimmed boots, while striking a pose in front of a yellow sports car.
In the caption, Coi reveals that the project will be released in a matter of weeks, on May 24th. “Lemon Cars EP prod. by @eardrummers @mikewillmadeit dropping May 24th,” the caption reads.

Coi Leray’s exciting project announcement comes after the artist publicly reflected on her journey to stardom, acknowledging the pressures to emulate some of today’s biggest pop stars, such as Taylor Swift and Ariana Grande.
“I’m not on Republic Records no more, I’m on Island [Records],” she began during a livestream, noting a recent change in management.
“When I dropped Blue Moon, Republic — they wanted pop shit. They wanted some Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande shit, which I can do, but I still like to work on my own pace and my own time, and I’m still, like, developing and learning and my own sound and shit …
“The Blue Moon shit they didn’t like. I wouldn’t say that they didn’t like, but it was something that they felt they didn’t want to put no money into. So when I gotta come out my pocket and put my own money into my own music, you gotta make real-life decisions.”
Discussing her versatility, encompassing singing, rapping, and style variation (among other things), the 26-year-old acknowledged that not everyone enjoys “every Coi in the pond.”
