Drake recently hopped on Instagram to make it clear, that he was unbothered over his Toronto residence being shot at. However, he did take issue with the local media’s helicopters interrupting his sleep — specifically CP24 News.

The rap star joked that he would appreciate it if they could coordinate flight times so his sleep wouldn’t be deterred. “@cp24breakingnews can we discuss the chopper flight times over the house cause I won’t lie, I’m trying to sleep [heart emoji], anytime after 3 p.m. works great for me.”

Drake’s Home Shot At, OVO Store Vandalized

While Drake seems to be calm and collected, the beef between him and Kendrick Lamar has become bigger than rap. Earlier this week, not only was the rapper’s home shot at, but his OVO storefront in London was recently vandalized. Lamar’s lyrics from “Not Like Us” were spray painted on the building’s front windows.

In another shocking turn of events, a security guard of Drake’s had recently been allegedly shot in the chest. According to the Toronto Sun, the 48-year-old security guard only shot once, and Drake had been left unharmed. As of right now, the subject is still at large.

Officers at the scene told the publication that he was in “serious condition” and had been taken to Sunnybrook Hospital. Outside of his recent post, Drake has not officially spoken to the public about the matter.

Per the Sun, this isn’t the first incident that has hit close to home for the rapper. In July 2022, a man was arrested for misdemeanor trespassing after he claimed to be Drake’s son and broke into his Beverly Hills California home. Before that, in March 2021, a woman —armed with a knife —was arrested after she tried to allegedly assault another one of the rapper’s security guards outside his Toronto mansion.
