With mounting lawsuits and an impending federal investigation, reports have revealed Diddy‘s former girlfriend, Jennifer Lopez may be subpoenaed to testify against him. The couple dated from 1999 until 2001 after meeting on a music video set. Prior to their split, the couple were involved in a shooting incident at a New York nightclub following Combs’ arguing with another clubgoer. While Combs and Lopez were acquitted of weapons and bribery charges, Bad Boy rapper Jamal “Shyne” Barrow was fingered as the culprit. He was later sentenced to 10 years in prison before being deported back to Belize.
Per InTouch, with the case being looked at in a new light, a source claims Lopez might testify against Combs. Pete Gleason, a New York lawyer told the publication that Lopez’s presence makes her a “witness with firsthand knowledge.” He adds, “If there are any criminal charges or civil claims not outside the statute of limitations, this would likely prove problematic for Lopez.”
Jennifer Lopez And Diddy Dated For Two Years Before Breaking Up in 2001
Last year, Cassie sued the producer and accused him of rape, physical abuse, and human trafficking. Nearly one day later, the pair settled out of court for an undisclosed amount. The former couple were together for 11 years, from 2007 until 2019. One of Ventura’s actions was corroborated after CNN obtained footage of an alleged altercation between them in March 2016.
The surveillance video sees a shaken Cassie swiftly moving down the hallway to the elevator. However, it’s not long before Diddy — with a towel around his waist — runs after Ventura and begins physically assaulting her. Before this, his homes in Miami and Los Angeles were raided.
