Megan Thee Stallion recently shared a behind-the-scenes look at the preparation it takes for her Hot Girl Summer Tour. For the Houston hottie, every step must be calculated. On Saturday (June 1), the rapper uploaded a clip to her socials where she was seen practicing her sultry dance routine for her track, “Cognac Queen.” The song was featured on her 2018 Tina Snow EP. “Here’s some COGNAC QUEEN rehearsal from sound check,” she wrote in the post’s caption.
The Hot Girl Summer Tour kicked off May 14 in Minneapolis at the Target Center Arena. Megan and her guest, GloRilla, have already hit big cities like New York, Chicago, and Philidelphia. The two are also expected to stop in Los Angeles, New Orleans, and the rapper’s hometown of Houston. Following that, the international leg kicks off in Glasgow, Scotland, on July 4th with additional shows in England, France, Germany, and Ireland.
Megan thee stallion’s tour woes
However, it isn’t all roses. The Houston rapper has been facing scrutiny from fans after her Atlanta show had been canceled twice. According to FOX5 Atlanta, the city has been dealing with the issue for quite some time. The show was initially set for Friday (May 31) but was eventually postponed for the following day. Unfortunately, by Saturday (June 1), problems with the water main break had not been resolved. The concert was again canceled, but this time it was nearly 30 minutes before doors were to open. A spokesperson from the arena made on post on X to offer insight into what transpired.
“After speaking with the Mayor’s office regarding the continued water leak issues affecting downtown Atlanta, the City of Atlanta is unable to accommodate the Megan Thee Stallion performance scheduled for tonight,” an arena spokesperson wrote on X. Megan Thee Stallion also hopped on X to offer her fans an explanation. “Unfortunately, we will need to reschedule tonight’s show at State Farm Arena due to the massive water main break that The City of Atlanta is experiencing,” she began. The rapper said that she was “extremely disappointed,” but for the safety of everyone she needed to follow the Mayor’s protocol. As of now, the Houston Hottie is scheduled to perform on Sunday (June 2).
