Kendrick Lamar had Los Angeles unified last night with his “Pop Out” concert.
The Ken & Friends: The Pop Out concert went down on Wednesday (June 19) at The Forum in Inglewood, California. The sold-out show took over social media as it trended at number one on X throughout the evening.
K. Dot opened his set with his diss track towards Drake, “Euphoria,” and even changed a part of the lyrics. He rapped, “give me 2Pac ring back and I might give you a little respect.”
The rapper invited other L.A. artists to share the stage with him including Jay Rock, Schoolboy Q, and Ab-Soul, and Dr. Dre. Dot performed his top hits including, “Swimming Pool,” “Alright,” and “DNA.” He also performed other Drake diss tracks such as “Like That” and “Humble.”
As the show wrapped up, Kendrick wow’d the crowd with his most popular diss track “Not Like Us”… 6 times.. Yup, he performed the Drake diss 6 times. He invited a variety of L.A. artists on stage during this performing, making it an even more excited moment. “You have to live here in LA to understand how HUGE this song is right now! Drake done messed up and gave LA another anthem..” commented one fan.
Following the concert- Drake shared a selfie via Instagram- seemingly unbothered by the show. In the flick the 6 God is rocking a jersey and cargo pants. He captions it “Summer League.”
Tyler, The Creator- who also performed at the Pop Out, shared his sentiments following the show. He joined DJ Mustard during his set and says “it was beautiful to see the whole city come together last night. my first raps were written at home off crenshaw dr and 82nd, right down the street from the fourm. thank you. shoutout FREE LUNCH..”
