SZA is a woman of many talents. The TDE singer recently linked up with Gynamist, Simone Biles for some lessons in tumbling. In the past, SZA has been open about her involvement in the sport during her youth. So it’s no surprise when the “Snooze” singer got a chance to link up with Biles, she jumped at the chance. The two even had a handstand contest, to which Biles was undoubtedly the winner. Ever the good sport, Biles offered SZA just the encouragement she needed to perfect her handstand.
“This is my dream to talk to you. I’m not even kidding,” the singer gushed. SZA calls Biles her “wildest dream,” and says that “I just have never seen anything like you.” She added, “No one has, but it’s just like, wow.” Biles is the most decorated gymnast in the sport’s history with a total of 37 Olympic and World Championship medals.
SZA Set To release ‘Lana’ album in 2024
In other news, SZA has revealed that her upcoming Lana album is ready to drop. During a recent set in London at Hyde Park, the singer told the crowd “New album, you ready?” To which the crowd immediately roared as she shared a sneak peek of a new track. No information about the album, other than its name has been released. Later, SZA shared a clip of the song’s lyrics on X, writing, “I know you told stories about me. most of them awful. All of them true. Here’s some for u.”
In 2022, SZA released her sophomore album, S.O.S, which quickly found great success. Several artists made guest appearances on the project, including Don Toliver, Phoebe Bridgers, and Travis Scott. S.O.S. spawned hits like “Kill Bill,” “Snooze,” “I Hate U,” and “Shirt.” Upon its release, the album received nine Grammy nominations, including Album of the Year, and won Best Progressive R&B Album. The project worked up as a follow-up to her debut, Ctrl.
