After comments made over the weekend by fellow Florida rap star Plies, Kodak Black defends former President Donald Trump.
On Saturday (July 13), Plies alleged that the assassination attempt at Trump’s Bulter, Pennsylvania campaign rally was staged. The “Shawty” hitmaker wrote on X, “Bruh Fakin Being Shot Tryin To Win An Election!!! This Sh*t Crazy!!! He’s Gone Reality Crazy.”
After Plies’s tweet, Kodak came to Trump’s defense and warned the one-time collaborator that slander against the former President will not be tolerated. “That’s f*cked up by Plies,” said Kodak in a video. “We ain’t going for any Trump slander. You gotta get off that sh*t, Plies. Trump ain’t done nothing to you.”
Plies and Kodak Black have collaborated on music since 2015. In 2017, they released a collaboration mixtape called FEMA, which included the hit song “Real Hitta.”
Ignoring Kodak’s remarks, Plies went on a rant after the shooting, in which he addressed the Republican party and President Biden. To President Biden, Plies wrote, “Dear @JoeBiden U’d Be Damn Fool To Slow Down Your Campaign! Use This Moment To Push The Agenda U Been Pushing Banning Assault Rifles & Gun Violence Etc. Chaos Vs A Steady Hand! Can’t Run On Hate & Act Surprise When It Happens! Unify The Country & Show What Leadership Looks Like!”
In a second tweet, he added: “Dear @JoeBiden U’d Be Damn Fool To Slow Down Your Campaign!
Donald Trump pardoned Kodak Balck on the last day of his first term as President of the United States in 2021. In addition to Black, multi-platinum-selling rap star Lil Wayne also received clemency.
Vince Staples, DJ Quik, and 50 Cent are other artists who have shared their thoughts on Trump’s assassination attempt.
