Lil Uzi Vert has some powerful advice for the youth. Known for embracing their unique style, Uzi believes being true to oneself can lead to success. Recently, Uzi attended their girlfriend JT’s release party in NYC for her debut solo mixtape, City Cinderella.
Digital content creator Ben Weiss caught up with them and asked Uzi for advice for the youth. Uzi’s response was simple: “Just keep being as weird as possible, cuz all the weird boys got all the money.” When asked about their favorite song on JT’s new project, Uzi chose not to answer.
Fans see Uzi’s advice to the youth as solid, given their track record of pushing boundaries in art, fashion, and more, despite any backlash. For example, earlier this year, Uzi starred in a Marc Jacobs campaign, posing with the brand’s 40th Anniversary Tote Bag. The campaign drew a lot of criticism online, but Uzi remained unfazed.
Uzi faced similar outrage after their performance at Coachella in April. They made a bold entrance with a Kelly Birkin bag, showcased some suggestive dance moves, and more. The performance went viral as social media users quickly judged it, but Uzi continued to thrive in their unique style.
What do you think of Lil Uzi Vert’s advice to the youth? Do you agree that embracing your weirdness can lead to success?
