2Pac’s family is deeply troubled by claims that Sean “Diddy” Combs may have been involved in the iconic rapper’s death and is committed to uncovering the truth once and for all.

According to TMZ, Pac’s kin has engaged attorneys Alex Spiro and Christopher Clore, along with a team of topnotch investigators, to examine Duane “Keefe D” Davis’ resurfaced claims that the embattled Bad Boy mogul offered to pay for the 1996 killing of the legendary lyricist.

The claim, originating from a 2009 interview with Duane “Keefe D” Davis—who is awaiting trial for Tupac’s murder—has recently gained renewed attention following court documents filed by the Clark County District Attorney’s Office in Nevada on July 18.

“[Davis] has asserted publicly that he only told on himself and wasn’t trying to provide evidence against anyone else in his conversations with police,” prosecutors wrote. “However, this statement belies this claim, as he suggested that Sean Combs paid Eric Von Martin a million dollars for the killings as well as offered to set up a surreptitious phone call with Terrence Brown, the driver, who, at the time, was still alive. “

Despite Diddy never being charged or seriously investigated for the claim, 2Pac’s family wants a thorough investigation. They hope to uncover evidence that could lead to criminal charges or a wrongful death suit.

It’s worth noting, Diddy has vehemently denied involvement, and there is no statute of limitations on murder.

In June, Duane “Keefe D” Davis, the alleged “shot caller” in Tupac Shakur’s murder, was denied bail and remains in jail. Reports indicate he is scheduled to appear in court on August 20, with his trial anticipated to start in November.

Meanwhile, Sean “Diddy” Combs is under federal investigation amid multiple allegations of sex trafficking and assault. He faces lawsuits from several women and producer Lil Rod accusing him of sexual assault.
