Chicago rapper Lil Reese will not face charges in California following a rape accusation.

According to TMZ, the L.A. County District Attorney’s Office decided not to pursue the case due to insufficient evidence, ending it on July 25, just 10 days after Reese’s arrest.

The arrest followed a woman’s claim that the “300 Shit” rapper sexually assaulted her after their date in Downtown L.A., a situation the outlet notes was allegedly witnessed by rapper Boosie Badazz.

Reese, who has consistently maintained his innocence, appeared in court on Thursday (August 8), and soon after reacted to the case dismissal. Taking to X (formerly Twitter), he wrote: “So today was my first court date for the false ass shit that bitch said I did and guess what case dismiss I wanna see they post and put this all around like they did when they said I rapped a lien bitch.”

He continued: “Some of these hoes be strictly for the streets you gotta just kno they ain’t wifey type (crying emoji).”

This is not the first time Lil Reese has faced serious allegations. Just two weeks after reports of the rapper being shot, he was charged with domestic violence. On May 29, Reese was arrested after police were called to his home following a physical altercation with his girlfriend.

According to the police report, the argument escalated into violence, with the girlfriend alleging that Reese hit her in the face, pulled her hair, and injured her bottom lip. Reese was charged with misdemeanor domestic battery and released on a $10,000 bond.

Following his release, Reese addressed his fans on Twitter, writing: “don’t believe half sh*t you see on internet all imma say like they said i was blind and got beat up.. I was in a car crash and a shout-out only thing that happen new interview otw..”
