Sean Kingston and infuse humor into their recent court appearance, hilariously evading paparazzi after their fraud case hearing.

On Friday (August 23), Florida’s Local 10 News captured the “Beautiful Girls” singer sprinting to his car as a reporter taunted him, quipping: “Sean, it looks ridiculous running like that!”

Hot on his heels was his mother, Janice Turner, who couldn’t resist skipping and giving the camera a playful middle finger before hopping into her car. The duo had just left their federal arraignment, where they pleaded not guilty to conspiracy and wire fraud.

On May 23, Janice Turner was arrested by SWAT for allegedly using fake documents to buy over $1 million in high-end items, with a history of similar offenses. The U.S. Attorney’s Office believes she and her son, Sean Kingston, engaged in a scheme to fraudulently obtain luxury goods. The arrest came as part of a broader investigation linked to a lawsuit filed by one of Kingston’s alleged victims.

“[Kingston] likes having bling, he likes showing off, he’s a showman,” attorney Dennis Card, told NBC Miami at the time. “My client has a $150,000 television sound system that’s in there, there’s also about $1 million worth of watches that are in there, there’s an $80,000 custom bed that was ordered. This is an organized systematic fraud.”

“[Kingston’s] got basically a script, he says that he works with Justin Bieber, and that he obviously puts on a big show here, this is a rental house, he doesn’t own it, and he lures people using his celebrity into having them release things without him paying for it and then he simply never pays,” Card added.

“He’s got judgments against him for procuring more than $1 million in watches without paying for them. This is just an ongoing pattern for Sean.”

According to the Associated Press, Sean was thrown in Florida jail on June 2 after a California performance in May. Facing a whopping 10 charges, he allegedly swiped jewelry, a Cadillac Escalade, and an $80,000 custom bed, while also defrauding banks of over $45,000, violating probation, and writing bad checks.
