Travis Scott can rest easy now that his Miami Beach trespassing charge has been dropped.

According to TMZ, a source close to the prosecutor’s office revealed that the charge has been dropped.

Scott’s attorney Bradford Cohen also tells the outlet “After arguing the motion to dismiss and the state realizing that there was no path to maintaining the charge, they decided to drop the case in its entirety.  Although not a serious charge, and one that should not have been filed, we are pleased with the result.”

Previously, we reported that the “Sicko Mode” rapper’s attorney, Bradford Cohen, filed a motion on August 20th to dismiss Travis Scott’s trespassing case in Florida. The 33-year-old entertainer had been arrested in Miami on June 20 for trespassing and intoxication.

According to the police report, officers responded to an altercation at a marina, where they found Scott arguing with someone on a yacht. The person who called the police requested Scott’s removal.

Authorities claimed they told him to leave, but Scott allegedly made a comeback and got belligerent, earning himself an arrest. While prosecutors quickly dropped the disorderly intoxication charge, the trespassing charge lingered, with a trial originally on the books for September.

Scott sought to have the case dismissed, arguing that the Miami marina where he was arrested lacked visible “No Trespassing” signs. While there were signs on nearby private property, Scott’s legal team contended that these did not apply to the marina itself. They also questioned the legitimacy of the arrest, stating that Scott was apprehended in a private parking lot rather than at the Miami Beach Marina.

In classic Travis Scott fashion, he joked about the Miami arrest after his mugshot went viral, even making t-shirts with the mugshot and selling them on his official website. Now, with the charge dropped, La Flame can breathe a little easier.
