In rap, the story of The Lox and Mike Tyson, who are about to fight over Eve, is frequently told. Promoting her new book, Who’s That Girl, Eve recalls when the Most Dangerous Man on the Planet made her uncomfortable in the memoir.
“One time, Mike Tyson tried talking to me crazy when I was out with The LOX,” Eve wrote. “The guys saw I was noticeably uncomfortable, and they were about to fight Mike Tyson to protect me. Literally, Styles P, Jadakiss, and Sheek Louch were building a strategy around how they were going to potentially gang up on Iron Mike.”
In 2020, The Lox detailed the whole incident with N.O.R.E. on the Drink Champs podcast. Styles P recalled electing fellow group member Sheek Louch, the biggest of the trio, to take a knockout blow from the former Heavyweight champ during the melee, while Jadakiss and Styles P stabbed him.
Tyson had spoken inappropriately to Eve and other women, which led them to try to defend the rapper, whom they treated as a sister. “Watch your fucking mouth,’” Styles said of Tyson’s demeanor around several women, including Eve. “But it’s Mike Tyson, so you can’t beat him, so you can’t say, ‘Watch your fucking mouth.’”
Styles P spoke to Tyson about the incident in 2022 on the Boxer’s Hot Boxin’ with Mike Tyson podcast. Tyson apologized for his behavior. “I didn’t mean that, Eve,” he said. “Me and Eve, we made amends. I said sorry. That’s all I care about.”
