Halle Bailey and DDG have decided to call it quits.
DDG shared a statement via Instagram announcing the split. He writes, “dear friends and supporters, after much reflection and heartfelt conversations, Halle and I have decided to go our separate ways. This decision was not easy, but we believe it’s the best path forward for both of us.”
The statement continued: “I cherish the time we’ve spent together and the love we’ve shared. Despite the changes in our relationship, our love for each other remains deep and true. We are still best friends and adore each other.”
“As we focus on our individual journeys and our roles as co-parents, we cherish the bond we’ve built and the beautiful moments we’ve shared. As we navigate this transition, we ask for your support and understanding.”
Halle and DDG welcomed their first child, Halo in Jan, 2024. “Halo is a miracle. He is perfect. He is beautiful. When I look at him, I cry because of how special he is” Halle expressed at the time.
During a previous interview Halle opened up about how love changed her creativity.
“Experiencing deep love for the first time in my life is something I feel has opened a whole new world for me creatively,” she said. “What it feels like to love someone other than your family, like somebody you may not have known two years ago but now they’re the center of your world.”
She continued, “I like all of the scary feelings that come with that. I like the suspense, the not knowing what’s going to happen, and I feel like that’s what I’m supposed to be going through in womanhood.”
The actress has yet to speak out regarding the breakup.
