Jeezy hosted his fourth annual Sno Ball Gala, celebrating his commitment to rebuilding his hometown and inspiring the next generation.
Leading up to the star-studded event, the “My President Is Black” rapper shared his excitement about impacting his community and why the work is so important to him.
“The Sno Ball Gala is more than just a night of entertainment,” Jeezy said in a statement.
“It’s about coming together as a community to make a real difference in the lives of young people who need our support,” his statement continued. I’m grateful for everyone who contributes to making this event a success year after year.”
Held at Flourish Atlanta on Thursday (October 4), celebrity guests included comedian Mike Epps, who hosted the Black tie affair, and DJ Cassidy who kept the crowd buzzing on the 1 and 2s.
Jeezy also was accompanied by a special guest for the event, his 9-year-old daughter Amra.
Billed as “a night of glamor and giving back”, the evening featured a gourmet dinner, and silent and live auctions in which attendees bid on exclusive items with proceeds benefiting the Street Dreamz Foundation, Jeezy’s non-profit organization,
Founded in 2001 by Jeezy, the foundation’s mission is to encourage “a generation of at-risk youth to become effective leaders through programs that foster independence and respect for others, while educating and motivating each child to reach their ultimate potential in their area of interest.”
The Street Dreamz Foundation also seeks to promote healthy lifestyles by empowering children to make good, holistic decisions through the #HealthIsWealth initiative, technology, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy.
Along with his philanthropic work, Jeezy is currently on the road playing live shows across the country on his “The Playlist Concert Series “
Announcing the tour on Instagram, Jeezy promised his fans that he would be performing all the tracks that made him a hip-hop legend.
“It’s bout that time! The Playlist Concert Series is coming to a city near you and I’m bringing all the classics,” his post read.
