Kamala Harris recently sat down with the All The Smoke Podcast and discussed the impact of the Bay Area, legalizing weed, and more. One of the most interesting moments was when the hosts — former NBA stars, Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson — asked for her thoughts on the most impact Bay Area artists. Harris often talks about spending her early life and career in the Bay. While the Vice President seemingly struggled with her decision she landed on Too Short, Raphel Raphael Saadiq, and Tupac Shakur.
Another interesting point in the discussion was when the hosts asked for Kamala Harris’ thoughts on marijuana legalization. In Harris’ opinion, “People should be going to jail for smoking weed,” she says. “And we know historically what that has meant and who has gone to jail.” She continues: “Second, I just think we have come to a point where we have to understand that we need to legalize it and stop criminalizing this behavior.”
Janet Jackson Questions KamalA Harris’ Racial Background
In other news, Janet Jackson is in hot water after commenting on Kamala Harris’ racial background. Jackson revealed to The Guardian that she had no idea Harris was Black. “She’s not black. That’s what I heard. That she’s Indian,” she tells the outlet. After being informed by the reporter that Harris had Jamaican and Indian ancestry, she still had doubts.
“Her father’s white. That’s what I was told. I mean, I haven’t watched the news in a few days…I was told that they discovered her father was white.” Regarding the upcoming 2024 election, Jackson is hesitant if there will be a peaceful transition of power. “I don’t know,” she says. “Honestly, I don’t want to answer that because I really, truthfully, don’t know. I think either way it goes is going to be mayhem.”
