Ani Lennox speaks out after her Los Angeles show was canceled amidst low ticket sells.

While on Instagram live, the singer shares the news with fans. “We just couldn’t sell tickets,” Ari said. “So, that’s my life right now. I guess hopefully things will change once I drop the music, drop the album and it is though very telling.”

She continued: “I take everything personally. You’re only as good as the music you put out, so it’s just like ‘goddamnit.’”

The ‘Whipped Cream’ singer says she knows her loyal fanbase is in Washington D.C., and suggests she should do more shows there.

The cancelation comes after Lennox revealed to fans that she’s in a bit of financial trouble.

During a previous Instagram live session Lennox opened up about some of her recent struggles. “I’m just gonna tell y’all my business,” she began.

“I need to pay this IRS. The strange things I’m finna do for change, just so i can just break even. I’m gonna crazy and then we start anew.”

Fans jokingly asked her if she’s going to drop a IRS “diss album?” She shut that down. “Absolutely not,” Lennox expressed. “They have been gentle with me and didn’t take anything of time. So, I will not be starting a beef with them, we do not have no beef, I am paying them back. Okay? I am paying them and I’m finna be caught up.”
