With the NBA season beginning on Oct.22, Mase has some words of wisdom for Bronny James.

During an episode of “It Is What It Is”, Mase spoke about Bronny playing in the G-Leauge. Along with co-host Cam’Ron, he shared some wisdom with Bronny for his rookie season.

“It’s gonna get crazy in the G League because the ni**as in the G League are tryna come up, and while they’re tryna come up, the eyeballs that they need on them is the game when they play Bronny,” Mase said around at the 52-minute mark of the video.

“I would just say this to Bronny: it’s kill or be killed. Every night,” Mase continued. “Listen to Uncle Murda: get the cornrows, wear the sleeve, wear number six — change your number right now to number six — and wear the red arm LeBrons.”

“I’m telling you! Just try it one game and prove me wrong. I guarantee you, you’re gonna have about six, eight [points per game] and then you’re gonna say, ‘Wait a minute, that ni**a Ma$e knows what he’s talking about,” he went on.

Over the summer, LeBron and Bronny made history as the first father-and-son duo to play for the same team. The Los Angeles Lakers drafted Bronny with the 55th pick.

At USC, Bronny suffered cardiac arrest in July 2023. He made a full recovery after emergency surgery.

Appearing in Netflix’s new docuseries, “Starting 5” LeBron and his wife Savannah shared how Bronny’s health scare impacted their family.

“I think at the end of the day, it was just about us supporting each other and just being super grateful for the outcome,” said Savannah as she fought back tears.

“Shout out to the man above,” LeBron added. “And to the whole coaching staff, training staff, members of that program.”
