Shyne is releasing a documentary about his life and it’s coming to Hulu, the Hollywood Reporter reports.

Titled “The Honorable Shyne”, the documentary chronicles his journey to rap stardom, his time in prison, and becoming a political leader in Belize. Kevin Liles, Faith Evans, Noreaga, and commentary from Don Pooh, and Barrington Levy all make appearances in the documentary.

In the trailer for the doc, Shyne recalled being one of the most sought-after unsigned rappers.

“Everybody that heard me wanted to sign me,” he said.

In the trailer, Shyne claims that he was set up in the 1999 nightclub shooting that involved Diddy and Jennifer Lopez.

“I was absolutely set up to be the fall guy,” Shyne explained.

In April,  Shyne responded to Natalia Reuben saying that it was Diddy who shot her on that fateful night at a press conference.

He said: “It opens wounds when you hear the victim saying it was Diddy that shot her and that is what is most remarkable.”

The synopsis of the documentary reads, “The Honorable Shyne’ tells the remarkable story of Moses ‘Shyne’ Barrow. The Grammy Award-winning musician who turned politician.”

“A rising star in the late 1990s, Shyne’s promising rap career was cut short after he was charged in a high-profile New York nightclub shooting, along with rap impresario Sean ‘Puffy’ Combs,” the synopsis added.

“After prison, relocated to Belize, where he transitioned from music to politics, ultimately becoming the Leader of the Opposition Party. His journey is one of redemption, resilience, and transformation. And follows him as he “navigates fame, incarceration, and a return home to Belize,” the synopsis continued.

In 2000, Shyne released his self-titled debut album which peaked at number five on the Billboard 200. His hit singles include, “Bad Boyz,” and “Bonnie & Shyne” (which both feature Barrington Levy).

Shyne released Godfather Buried Alive while serving time in prison in 2004.

Directed by Marcus A. Clarke, “The Honorable Shyne” primers on Hulu on November 18.
