Westside Gunn is curating his first wrestling event.
The “FlyGod” will officially launch his pro-wrestling promotion 4thRope on November 2nd at the UIC Forum in Chicago.
Taking to Instagram, Westside, a die-hard pro wrestling fan, shared his excitement about the venture.
“DON’T MISS THE BIGGEST CULTURAL EVENT OF THE YEAR, I’ve literally been working on this every single day and my dream is finally coming true, YOUR gonna start seeing I’m nothing like ANYBODY else, when y’all thought I was chilling I was really plotting,” his post read. “4THROPE HEELS HAVE EYES 3 is not only the illest party like the first 2 at the Sold out TLA (PHILLY) & HOUSE OF BLUES (CLE) but THIS WILL FINALLY INTRODUCE 4THROPE as a WRESTLING promotion… YES I will finally be curating my first WRESTLING EVENT along with the party and you already know how much this means to me.”
“This has NEVER BEEN DONE BEFORE, and literally this will be HISTORY!!! If your a GXFR day 1 your gonna be so proud, I’ve been out working everybody behind the scenes and watch the lineup for this event. IM SO EXCITED bc I know wats gonna happen just be ready to cop tickets any day now,” he continued. “I just got word from Ticketmaster link will be up shortly, this event will be held at @thisisuic campus. The event will feature pro wrestling, art live performances, and surprise guests. Major artists including Griselda artist and legendary DJ’s Pete Rock and DJ Premier will perform following the wrestling program. Westside will also curate a cultural sporting experience in partnership with Saucony.
Additionally, TNA Wrestling will feature several major pro wrestlers including TNA Female Knockout World Champion Jordynn Grace, Sami Callahan, Nick Gage, Moose, Joe Hendry, Masha Slamovich, AJ Francis, and Santana.
“We’re gonna make this SPECIAL & this is a brand I’ll be building with the Wrestling community… I want to have Fun,” Westside said. “I want to continue to be innovative & I wanna make History #4thRope.”
