JJermaine Dupri expressed his excitement for Lil Wayne’s Lil WeezyAna Fest, which took place over the weekend in Wayne’s hometown of New Orleans. The event was a major highlight, with Wayne reuniting with Birdman and the legendary Hot Boys members—Juvenile, B.G., and Turk.

The night was electric, and Dupri couldn’t help but share his thoughts on social media. One tweet in particular caught attention: “I can’t believe Drake missed that,” Dupri posted. “Couldn’t have been me.”

Fans had mixed reactions to his remark, which was in reference to Drake’s absence from the event. The rapper was attending a Toronto Raptors game against the Sacramento Kings instead. “He’s the Raptors’ ambassador, and that game was a special one for his city. The show was great without him, so stop d*ckriding,” one fan wrote. Another added, “Now Jermaine… are we being messy, sir?!?”

The exchange sparked debate among fans, with some defending Drake’s commitment to his city, while others sided with Dupri’s surprise at the absence.

Lil Wayne Speaks On Super bowl:

During the festival, Lil Wayne opened up about his disappointment over not being selected to perform at the 2025 Super Bowl halftime show. “I told myself I wanted to be on that stage in front of my mom, and I worked my a** off to get there,” he shared with the crowd. “It was ripped away from me, but this moment right here… they can’t take this away from me.”

In another heartwarming gesture, Wayne was honored with the key to the city of New Orleans by Mayor LaToya Cantrell, further solidifying his legacy as a beloved figure in his hometown.
