Young Thug is wasting no time reconnecting with old allies, linking up with Atlanta rap legend T.I. just days after his release from jail.
On Monday night (November 4), T.I. thrilled his 15 million Instagram followers with an unexpected video featuring Young Thug—his first appearance since regaining freedom. In the clip, T.I. asks, “Hey, man. What you got to tell these people?” Thug responds simply, “I’m back. I’m back, Jack.”
The two longtime collaborators hinted that more music could be on the way, with T.I. adding, “It’s time.”
Despite previous mentions of retirement, T.I. seems ready to join forces with Thug once again. The video caption echoed his excitement: “Yeahhhhh [you know what the f### going on]. The Kings have Reconvened #KingJeffrey #KingSr. Guess I’m officially outta retirement. For tonight.”
T.I. foreshadowed that Thug would “beat” the R.I.C.O. trial earlier this year. “He is coming home,” Tip said in an interview.
Young Thug was released last week (October 31) after securing a plea deal. Judge Whitaker sentenced the rapper to 40 years, with the first five already served and commuted for time served, plus 15 years of probation and substantial fines. T.I., who supported Young Thug throughout the legal proceedings, was among the first to celebrate the rapper’s freedom. He tweeted, “Welcome Home lil bruddah. It’s been too long… Time to get back to it!!! #KingJeffrey @youngthug.”
Beyond T.I., it appears Young Thug has his sights on new projects with Lil Baby. Both artists recently teased fans with posts hinting at a collaboration, sending the rap community into a frenzy, especially Gunna fans eagerly anticipating what’s next for Thug.
Meanwhile, social media is buzzing with shared images of billboards quoting lines recently attributed to both Baby and Thug, sparking speculation that a joint track may be just around the corner.
