Lil Wayne reunited with the Hot Boys at the WeezyAna Fest last month and he recently announced that a second reunion show has been added by Live Nation Urban.
Taking to social media on Thursday (November 14), Wayne shared that the supergroup will perform at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas on December 21.
“We had to run it back baby! Lil Weezyana Festival presents a Hot Boys Holiday with Big Tymers on December 21st in Houston, TX! Presale begins TOMORROW at 10 CT.” his post read.
Comprised of Wayne, Juvenile, BG, Turk, and assisted by the Big Tymers, Birdman, and Mannie Fresh, the Hot Boys took the rap world by storm. Formed in 1997, the group released their debut studio album, Get It How U Live the same year.
The group took off in 1999 with the release of their sophomore LP Guerrilla Warfare. Landing at number five on the Billboard 200 and selling 142,000 copies in its first week. Eventually, the album went platinum.
Following Juvenile, Turk, and B.G.’s departure from Cash Money due to claims of financial mismanagement, the group disbanded.
When the Hot Boys reunited in October, it marked the first time the group performed together in more than 15 years. Also, each member performed tracks from the solo discographies. Then they all came together to perform their classics “I Need a Hot Girl” and “Neighborhood Superstar.”
In a recent interview with “B High ATL”, Turk said that the reunion was great after the tension settled.
“We sung the songs and it was tense. It was tense. I gotta give y’all the real rundown and not on no stuck-up sh*t. But it was just a ‘man we ain’t do this shit in a long time’ type tense,” Turk said. “But by the time it got to ‘Back That Azz Up,’ it was the nostalgia. We felt what the fans felt! And it was just – we back.”
Tickets for the show are currently for presale here.
