The BET Awards went down last night (June 27).
The show was in person at the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles, California. Taraji P. Henson hosted, and the night was filled with surprises.
Some notable moments included Cardi B. revealing she’s expecting baby number two with Offset. She showed off her stomach during her performance.
Another critical moment was when Queen Latifah won the Lifetime Achievement Award. The DMX tribute was phenomenal. It featured performances by Swizz Beatz, Busta Rhymes, Method Man, and Griselda. During Lil Nas Z’s performance of “Montero (Call Me By Your Name),” he paid homage to Michael Jackson’s “They Don’t Really Care About Us” dance.
Megan Thee Stallion led the night and took home seven awards. Naomi Osaka and LeBron James both won sportswoman/man of the year awards. Chadwick Boseman won the best actor and Andra Day won the best actress. Burna Boy won the best international act. Check out the complete list of winners.
Another part of the night that received a lot of attention was when Megan gave Yung Miami of the City Girls a tongue kiss. It was caught on camera, and social media has mixed reactions. Take a look:
