Fans looking waiting to enjoy Ashanti and Keyshia Cole go head-to-head in the next Verzuz battle will have to wait a bit longer to enjoy the moment.
The anticipated battle has been postponed for a second time, as the Verzuz team works on making conditions safe due to the uptick in cases of COVID-19 throughout the country.
A statement on Instagram reads:
“This has been an emotional week. In addition, as COVID-19 numbers continue to increase, safety is a top priority for us. As much as we enjoy having everyone together in the same room, to protect the artists and everyone who works with us in putting the shows together we’ll be going back to separate locatios for a bit. We’re excited for the next few events, and look forward to getting back to the show in the coming weeks. “
The two r&b stars were originally scheduled to face off December 12, but postponed due to Ashanti’s positive COVID-19 results. Since then Verzuz had hosted another battle between E-40 and Too $hort in the “Battle of the Bay.”
No date has been set as of this moment on the Verzuz battle.
