It’s a big milestone in Drake’s career.
10 years ago today, the 22-year-old best known as playing Wheelchair Jimmy in Degrassi released a brand new mixtape titled So Far Gone.
The mixtape carried 18 tracks of singles and freestyles including popular songs such as “Best I Ever Had,” “Successful,” “Unstoppable (Remix),” and “Uptown.”
The project also had a list of big features including Lil’ Wayne, Trey Songz, Bun B, Lloyd, and more. For those in college at the time, the project was undoubtedly the soundtrack of that year, no matter what grade you were in.
To celebrate the occasion, Drake went on Instagram to thank the people that joined him on his journey the last 10 years. His list includes Kanye West, who he has had a beef with for the past few months. In his caption he addressed the rapper, while thanking him for his contribution to his career.
“A decade ago I rapped over your beat cause you just made the best shit and even though you stay wildin’ on twitter these days I will never forget what you contributed to the game and my career.”
