A promo-filled February for G.O.O.D. Music’s newest signee, Valee, culminates today with the release of his EP, GOOD Job, You Found Me. The project is executive produced by Kanye West.

This past month has been a coming out party for the Chicago-born artist. On Feb. 1st,via social media, Pusha T announced Valee as the newest member of G.O.O.D. Music. Sixteen days later, Pusha hopped on the remix of Valee’s single, “Miami.” Less than two weeks after the remix, Valee and Pusha T collaborated with Chicago creative, Hebru Brantley, adding trippy dream-like visuals to the song.

GOOD Job, You Found Me is a six-track mini EP, which only runs fifteen minutes. For those who are not accustomed to Valee’s music, shortened songs are a part of his artistry. Deviating from the traditional song structure is something that makes Valee’s music unique. Additionally, Valee’s cadence and delivery is unlike any hip-hop artist from Chicago. Deemed, “elegant trap,” by Pitchfork, Valee’s carefree voice glides over a baseline.
