You can always count on Mary J. Blige to keep it all the way REAL!
While the R&B songstress grazed the red carpet at the Golden Globes in a stunning gown, the Associated Press asked about her thoughts on the ‘Times Up’ movement regarding victims of sexual harrasment.
In true Mary fashion she expressed her support of the women who experienced such trauma, and revealed her truth as well.
“Oh, I’ve had the fight since I was 5 years old,” she asserted. “I haven’t had anybody approach me like that since I’ve been in the music business. But, ever since from five to 17, I’ve been going through hell with sexual harassment.”
Although Mary has not experienced any sexual harassment in the music industry she admits that her tolerance for such actions were extremely low.
“By the time I got to the music business, it was like, ‘Don’t touch me or I’ll kill you.”
