In the world of music, sometimes the story behind how a hit song got to the artist is very intriguing.

Today (Sept. 29), we learn the road behind one of 50 Cent’s biggest songs, and it is quite interesting.

Lenny “Linen” Nicholson was a former A&R of Nas. He rrevealed that the single “Many Men” was actually offered to the Queens rapper where he even recorded some raps over the track.

“‘Many Men’ was a Nas track first. He actually vocalled it. He was developing another artist named Nashawn he had to massively impress Nas. If Nas started something, he would add his vocal to it and see if Nas would be impressed enough to keep it. [Nas] didn’t finish that track… that was a track that he just fell out of love with.”

Eventually 50 got his hands on track and history was made as it was one of his biggest singles on his debut Get Rich Or Die Tryin’.

Listen to that track below.
