Lil Durk is counting his blessings.

The Chicago rapper was hit by an explosive pyrotechnic during his set at Lollapalooza on July 30th.

While Durk was on stage performing Pooh Shiesty’s 2020 banger “Back In Blood,”he accidentally walked into two on-stage pyrotechnic smoke flares. Viral videos show stage crew members went to his aid. Someone on the microphone asked Durk if he was okay.

As this was happening, Durk wiped his eyes and took a few moments to get himself together and finished his set. However, Durk updated fans and showed a picture of himself in the hospital with a bandage covering his right eye. He announced he’ll be taking a break to focus on wellness. In the caption, he said,

“Due to the incident that happened at Lollapalooza in Chicago on stage, I’ma take a break & focus on my health. I finished my performance yesterday for my fans. Appreciate y’all.” Take a look:

The hip-hop community showered Durk with love. T.I. said, “shake back king.” Nav commented with prayer hand emojis and blue hearts. Swizz Beatz wrote a bunch of prayer hand emojis and said, “hey well king.”

The show overall had a dope lineup. J. Cole, Big Sean, Jhene Aiko, Willow Smith, and more hit the stage.
