Last Saturday, (May 4), Staten Island’s own The Wu-Tang Clan was honored in two different ways and we were there to capture it all.
It has been 25 years since the world was introduced to the unique sound and rhyme of the Wu-Tang Clan. This group’s worldwide popularity helped put Staten Island on the map. They gave us hits like “Triumph,” “C.R.E.A.M,” and albums such as Enter The Wu (36 Chambers), “The W”, and more.
Not only did they bless fans with hits throughout the years, they have always gave back to their community for the kids. In honor of all their hard work and dedication, their city decided to give back to them by naming the corner of Targee St. and Vanderbilt Avenue to Wu-Tang Clan District.
Family members, friends, and fans and the entire Shaolin was there to support the Wu- Tang Clan. The members of the completely grateful for the honor!
Take a look at some highlights of the special day below.
