Civil-rights attorney Ben Crump is representing Blount’s family. Crump released a statement on Sunday, saying this shouldn’t have been the outcome, and this is “heartbreaking.” He said, “The Blount family is grieving the incomprehensible loss of their precious young son. This should not have been the outcome of taking their son to a concert, what should have been a joyful celebration.”
Blount’s family is reportedly filing a $1 million lawsuit against Travis and Live Nation. The family hasn’t spoken out to the public since the report of the death.
Travis Scott hasn’t publicly reacted to Blount’s death. On November 6, Travis issued an apology and released a video. Travis is caught up in 100 lawsuits; Drake is also named in one of the suits. He also spoke about the horrible incident and gave prayers for victims. Travis vowed to pay for the funerals of the victims. In addition, offer mental health services for anyone impacted by the event.
Our hearts and prayers are with the families of the people that lost their life.
