If you rock with the Yeezy brand, you have Beanie Sigel to thank for coming up with the name,
Last week, Beanie said Kanye West promised to pay the rapper $50 million for coming up with the name. Beanie appeared at a club also last week and said Ye promised to give him 5% stock in Yeezy for coming up with the name. However, Beanie doesn’t want the money anymore.
As reported on Hip Hop DX, Beanie said he’d rather make business moves with Kanye instead. He also feels Kanye doesn’t owe him anything. Sig told TMZ,
“I did name him that, but as far as his business mind and where he took it, Kanye worked hard for this. Kanye don’t owe me nothing. I don’t know if I would take a number. Because you give somebody a fish today, he gon’ eat for the day. If you teach somebody how to fish, he’s gon’ eat forever. He’s gon’ teach his family how to fish.” He continued,
“I’m not even thinking about a number, but I would love to do some business where I can earn some money ’cause I’m an earner. I never was the type to take just for a handout. My mind is sorta like Kanye’s mind… I think outside the box. I’ve got a lot of business ventures that I think if me and Kanye were to sit down and I had that opportunity to present it to him, it’s some money on the table that I can earn.” Beanie ended the message by saying he can’t put an amount on their relationship. He’d much rather make some money moves. He said,
“It’s all love, bro. Whatever you got on the table, man, let’s sit down, let’s talk,” he said. “It ain’t a dollar amount that’s on our relationship, ain’t nothing that I’ve done that I wouldn’t do it again, bro. You don’t owe me nothing but love, bro. But let’s get to some money, let’s get to some music, let’s get to some fashion, let’s get to some movies. We can do all that, and the rest will fall in place.”

Last week when Kanye appeared on an entertaining episode of Drink Champs, he admitted he wanted to pay Beanie the $50 million. Kanye didn’t publicly respond to Sig. What project do you think they’ll end up working on?
