Floyd Mayweather is addressing negative comments he hears people say about him.

As reported on The Jasmine Brand, Floyd appeared on Barstool Sports’ Million Dollaz Worth of Game with hosts Gillie Da King and Wallo267. During the interview, Floyd cleared up misconceptions about him.

The hosts playfully asked Floyd how does he manage “40 girlfriends.” He responded and said, “I live my life the way I wanna live it, and–no matter what–you can’t please everybody.” The conversation took a deep dive when Floyd opened up about people calling him a “wife-beater” and “not smart.” The boxing champion said,

“As I accomplished more and kept accomplishing things, you’d start seeing different things like ‘oh, he’s a wife-beater’ or ‘he’s not that smart’… you hear so many different things. And I just felt like, okay, you’re entitled to believe whatever you wanna believe. But I had to have some type of common sense, some type of smarts, some type of intelligence, to be where I’m at.”

Floyd went on to talk about doing business with family. He said he hired many of his family members, but it doesn’t mean they get a pass to “not work.” He said, “A lot of my family members work for me, but if I feel like someone else can do the job better then I’ll remove them. That [doesn’t] mean I don’t love them—it’s just business.”

He went on to say sometimes a family member can feel entitled to another family member’s success. Take a look at the interview:
