A judge denied bail for Pooh Shiesty again.
The rapper is behind bars for his alleged involvement in two shootings.
One recently happened over Memorial Day weekend. Pooh was in Miami at KOD, getting escorted out. Money reportedly fell out of his pocket, and it’s alleged Pooh fired a gun toward the ground. The bullet hit a security guard named Frivin Dor in the ankle.
Initially, Frivin stated authorities, saying Pooh pulled the trigger. However, earlier this week, the security guard recanted his story. As reported on XXL, Frivin says he was on a painkiller called Dilaudid and doesn’t know who shot him. He claims he took the painkiller the night of the incident when he was transported to the hospital. He says the drugs were “powerful” when he spoke to the detective.
However, a judge is questioning why Frivin is taking back his statement. The judge claims the security’s story was recorded, and on the recording, he sounded “very lucid, clear, and gave very clear and descriptive answers.” The judge said, and prosecutor said, per the publication, “If I’m reading between the lines, I assume what you’re trying to tell me is that there may have been some pressure exerted upon this witness to change their testimony. The prosecutor added: ‘At this point, the state and authorities are investigating it. Obviously, we are concerned that may be an issue.’”
Pooh’s other legal trouble is from a 2020 shooting where he was charged with armed robbery, aggravated assault with a firearm, and theft. It was reportedly over a drug deal gone wrong. He’s also facing a federal charge over this situation. As reported in the Miami Herald, the prosecutor revealed the U.S. Attorney’s Office placed a “federal detainer” on Pooh.
Pooh’s defense attorney says their client is innocent. Saam Zangeneh said, “That doesn’t change our position as to his 100 percent innocence, in both state and federal matters.”
Hopefully, Pooh Shiesty can stay out of trouble and focus on the music. Check out his hot single, “Back In Blood.”
