Although Kobe’s birthday was on August 23, some people are dedicating this week to be “Mamba Week.”
Lil Wayne was one of the many celebrities to honor the late basketball legend. On Weezy’s Twitter, he posted a picture of his twin, the 10-year-old son he shares with Lauren London, Kameron. In the photo, Kameron is sporting Lakers gear and a huge smile. In the caption, it says, “8.24. 2! Mamba forever.”

Reported on Yahoo Sports, Kobe will have a street named after him. W Olympic Blvd and Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd, a block away from Staples Center is where Kobe will get “his block.” In Orange County, they declared August 24 as Kobe Day because, during his career, his numbers were 8 and 24.
Figueroa St. will soon be Kobe Bryant Blvd. between Olympic & MLK.
Kobe’s legacy is bigger than basketball. #KobeBryantBlvd will be a reminder to everyone, young and old who drive down it, there is no obstacle too big and that with the #Mambamentality , anything is possible. pic.twitter.com/gvekIFOU5u
