The singer Marques Houston and his fiancée, a woman named Miya Dickey, got married. They both shared the news on their social media accounts today (August 27). They shared the same message online, professing their love for one another.
“We can’t believe the day has finally come! The day when the two of us were bonded together before Jehovah to become one. Jehovah has blessed us with a true happiness that is unmatched! Matthew 19: 5,6 “For this reason a man will leave his father and his mother and will stick to his wife, and the two will be one flesh” 6 So that they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore, what God has yoked together, let no man put apart.”
US Magazine reports they had a small wedding at the Eagle Glen Golf Club in Corona, California. Some of the guest list included the singer’s group members from Immature, Jerome Jones, and Kelton Kessee.
Earlier this summer, the “Naked” singer received heavy criticism for announcing his engagement to his now wife. He’s 39 and she’s 19. Social media users alleged that Marques and Miya may have been involved when she was underaged. Marques addressed the backlash and said he met her back in 2018 through a mutual friend and got engaged in 2019.
